Appeal for information after boat was stolen during aggravated burglary in Hulcote

Bedfordshire Police is appealing for information following an aggravated burglary in Hulcote on Friday evening (14 August). At approximately 10pm, two men entered a storage compound at Rook Tree Farm.
A man came outside of his storage unit after hearing a noise and saw two men dressed in black, wearing balaclavas, gloves and holding metal poles.
The man was threatened with violence, had his mobile phone stolen and was held to the ground whilst the offenders entered the units searching for cash. The men tried to steal a caravan and eventually stole a boat.

Central Bedfordshire Council has been revamping roads across the area while traffic levels are low during the coronavirus lockdown.
It said that by taking advantage of the quieter roads it has fixed more than 600 repairs including potholes, streetlights and road signs as well as eight re-surfacing schemes.

The Chief Veterinary Officers across the UK are encouraging all poultry keepers to take action now to reduce the risk of disease in their birds over the winter.
There are some simple measures that all poultry keepers, whether they are running a large commercial farm, keeping a few hens in their back garden, or rearing game birds, should take to protect their birds against the threat of avian influenza (bird flu) in the coming winter months.

Do you like singing for fun?
Following its post-Christmas break, the Sounds Familiar Community Choir will re-commence rehearsals on Tuesday, February 5th at 7.30p.m at Cranfield Baptist church.
The choir, which sings for fun and for charity, is looking out for new members, particularly of the male variety! No audition is needed. Being able to read music not essential either.

Travellers banned from parts of Central Bedfordshire
Central Bedfordshire Council (CBC) has gained an injunction banning eleven named individuals from setting up unauthorised encampments anywhere in Central Bedfordshire over the next two years.
During summer in 2017 these individuals and their families moved from site to site across Central Bedfordshire. The Council said that this caused disruption which impacted local communities.
