First time in many years that the Labour Party has put up a full list of candidates

The Labour Party in Central Bedfordshire is contesting all 59 seats in the local council elections on Thursday 2 May. This is the first time for many years that Labour has a full slate. The Party said that this demonstrates that it is ready to take control of Central Beds Council.

John Tizard, chair of the Labour Central Bedfordshire Local Campaign Forum, said

“Every elector in every ward across Central Bedfordshire will have the opportunity to vote for a Labour Party candidate on 2 May.

“They will have the opportunity to vote for radical change; against Conservative complacency and failing policies; and for Labour’s comprehensive set of policies designed to meet the needs and aspirations of the people of Central Bedfordshire.”

“The election campaign over the next few weeks provides an excellent opportunity for our candidates to discuss our ideas with and more importantly to hear ideas from the electorate.”

Central Bedfordshire Council elections will take place on Thursday 2 May. A copy of Labour’s manifesto and details of all candidates are available on the Central Bedfordshire Labour website.
