The last date to register to vote is 12 April

On Thursday 2nd May, local residents in Bedford Borough and Central Bedfordshire will go to the polls to have their say on who represents them at a local level.

Elections will be held for local councillors, and parish and town councillors where areas have parish/town councils. Bedford Borough residents will also be voting for the Borough’s elected mayor. These elections are an opportunity for resodents to make their voice heard and have a say on who represents them on issues that directly affect day-to-day life.

In order to vote in this important election, residents must be on the electoral register. The deadline to register to vote in local elections is fast approaching. The last date to register to vote is 12 April.
