School places can be applied for online

Central Bedfordshire Council has opened the application process for children due to start school in September 2019.

Children are entitled to a full-time place in the September following their fourth birthday. Although children do not have to attend school full-time until the term after their fifth birthday.

Applications are also open for those who will be transfering to middle, secondary or upper schools.

If you are applying for a place to start school or to join a middle school, you have until Tuesday 15 January 2019 to make an application.

The deadline is Wednesday 31 October 2018 for applications to transfer to a secondary or upper school in 2019.

Central Bedfordshire Council has dedicated school admission web pages. These contain information such as school catchment areas, deferred entries and making an application on religious/faith grounds. They also show how places are allocated.

Parents and carers can also complete a paper application form. These are available from the school admissions team.
