This Saturday, 26 June 2021, anyone over 18 in Bedford Borough can drop-in to the Harpur Suite (next to Bedford Central Library), Bedford for their Pfizer vaccination, without the need to book an appointment or show ID.
Between 11am and 4pm clinicians and other health professionals will be on hand to help answer any questions residents may have about vaccinations.
Saturday’s drop-ins for COVID-19 Pfizer vaccinations are in addition to the other drop-ins at vaccination clinics in Bedford Borough, at Kings House (Pfizer) and Bedford Heights (both Pfizer and AstraZeneca).
All drop-ins will offer both the first and second vaccines. Second doses can now be given eight weeks after the first dose (rather than 12 weeks).
Cllr Louise Jackson, portfolio holder for health and wellbeing, said:
“We know that COVID-19 vaccination will allow us get back to doing the things we love, so we want to help everyone 18 and over in Bedford Borough to get their vaccine.
“Residents can still book via the NHS website but we understand many people will have commitments they need to work around such as work and childcare. Drop-in sessions make it easy to get vaccinated close to where you live, work or even while you are shopping.”
