Christmas tree festival at Forest of Marston Vale

Christmas wishes will help to plant trees

Local housing developer Bloor Homes has been helping spread a little Christmas cheer with its Christmas wish tree. This helped to raise £375 for the Forest of Marston Vale.

The tree featured at the charity’s Christmas Tree Festival. Visitors could personalise clear baubles with a Christmas wish in return for a small donation.

The Christmas Tree Festival attracted more than 1,900 people to the Forest of Marston Vale centre. It raised a total of £1,500 for the local cause.

This money will go towards the goal of planting another 5 million trees in the Forest of Marston Vale.
Forest of Marston Vale fundraising officer, Robina Ballard-Davis, said:
“We are very grateful to Bloor Homes for their involvement in making our annual Christmas Tree Festival such a success.
“While we’ve already planted over 1.5 million trees our vision is to plant 5 million more and their support is a great help towards achieving this goal.”

The next tree planting session is planned for Spring 2018 in Cranfield.

Bloor Homes sales director, Vanessa Macnee, said:

“The Forest of Marston Vale has been working hard to transform the local landscape and make Marston Vale a thriving place to live for many years and we are delighted to have had the opportunity to support them.”
