The Post Office is proposing to relocate Cranfield Post Office to a new location – Co-op, 57-67 High Street, Cranfield, MK43 0AR, where it will continue to operate as one of its local style branches. The proposed premises would be located approximately 900 metres away from the current branch.
Its partners, the Co-op, have identified an opportunity to move this branch into an alternative brand-new location to continue to offer Post Office services to the local community.
They believe relocating the branch will help secure continued access to Post Office services locally, as well as supporting the viability of their business.
The move is proposed for November 2021.
The Post Office would be in a dedicated area of the store with two screened serving points, as well as a Post Office serving point provided for use at the retail counter and available during shop opening hours:
- Screened counters would be Monday – Saturday: 9am – 5.30pm
- Retail counter: Monday – Sunday: 6am – 10pm
The same wide range of Post Office products and services would be available.
The Post Office has started a local consultation about the proposed move. It would like views on access and the service offered at the new location.
It is looking for feedback about accessibility, local community issues and anything that the Post Office can do to make life easier for its customers.
Consultation will close on 6 October 2021. Customers can share their views during the consultation online at postofficeviews.co.uk with the branch code 137106.
