Cranfield Academy Bauble competition winners Katie Rust, Darnia Bahman and Corey Fraser receive their prize

Cranfield Academy pupils Katie Rust, Darnia Bahman and Corey Fraser have been awarded ‘Best Christmas Bauble’ in Cranfield for their joint festive creation.

The competition, set by family owned housing developer, Bloor Homes, attracted more than 30 entries from the school’s Key Stage 2 pupils.

Bloor Homes South Midlands Sales Director, Vanessa Macnee, said:

“It was great to see so many entries from across the school – there are clearly some very talented artists at Cranfield Academy and we had a really tough job picking an overall winner.

Reception Leader at Cranfield Academy, Lisa Edmond, said:

“Thanks very much to Bloor Homes for this fun festive challenge. The kids had a great time designing their baubles and they should all feel very proud of their cracking Christmas creations.”

Top entries were put on public display

The top ten entries were displayed on the Christmas tree at Bloor Homes’ Cranfield Park development.

Katie, Darnia and Corey named as the overall winners for their colourful creation.

Vanessa Macnee said:

“Congratulations to everyone who entered and especially to our winners – it was clear how much effort they had put into their design and we are delighted to display their baubles, along with the other top 10 entries, on our tree this year.”
