Cranfield school to get extra spaces

30 new school places for expanding village

Cranfield’s Holywell CofE Middle School will have extra pupils from next year. The Central Bedfordshire Council Executive approved plans to create an extra 120 places.

This will take the academy from a five-form entry to six-form entry school in September 2018. This comes after a consultation carried out by the school during April/May.

Of the 180 responses received, 90 per cent were in favour of expanding the school by one form of entry.

The start of work is now subject to a planning application. This town planning application will involve a separate consultation.
It will cover plans for the buildings and for traffic management.
