New office based at Cranfield University Technology Park
George Blunden, Stonewater’s chair joined locally based staff at the official opening (7 February) of the company’s new office at Cranfield University Technology Park, Bedfordshire.
This new office marks the conclusion of Stonewater’s office rationalisation project to equip their offices with advanced technology and provide digital-savvy office spaces with flexible working conditions.
George Blunden said:
“The advanced premises will increase Stonewater’s capacity to take on more exciting and much-needed projects to build additional affordable homes in the region.
“We are also pleased about the location at Cranfield University Technology Park, where there are plenty of thriving businesses of all sizes that we can draw inspiration from.”
Over 40 staff will be based there
The 2000 square feet space will accommodate a total of 41 employees along with work-stations and drop-in work areas. It will be home for a number of Stonewater teams such as Assets, Development and Housing. George Blunden said:
“Additionally, we hope to inspire the students at the university. There is an increasing number of young people who have given up hope of becoming a homeowner due to affordability.
“We hope that our presence within the university campus will give them opportunities to find out more about affordable ways to get on the housing ladder.”
Stonewater owns 32,000 homes across England, this new office will be responsible for 7,000 homes and 17,000 tenants.
