Five year contract
The East London NHS Foundation Trust (ELFT) is the preferred bidder to provide Community Health Services in Bedfordshire.
The Trust’s work in research has led to pioneering health solutions and a strong academic reputation.
GP and clinical lead for Community Health Services, Bedfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group, Dr Andrew Edwards, said:

Multi-million pound health services contract
The five year, £39m contract starts on 1 April 2018 and covers a range of Community Health Services.
For children this includes:
- Health Visiting and School Nursing services
- Community paediatricians
- The Looked After Children’s Health Team
- Allied health professionals such as Speech and Language Therapists
For adults this includes:
- Specialist nursing
- Community geriatricians
- Rapid response and rehabilitation
- Step-up / step-down beds
