The Bedfordshire, Luton, and Milton Keynes (BLMK) Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is inviting people in the area to attend its Annual General Meeting (AGM) online next week to look back over the previous year.

In preparation for the meeting the CCG, which is responsible for planning and buying health services in the area, has published an Annual Report overview document.

The AGM will outline the work which has been done to respond to COVID-19, how services are being restored following the pandemic, how primary care services have been changed and how the CCG has been engaging with communities.

Dr Sarah Whiteman, local GP and chair of Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes CCG, said:

“Each year the AGM provides a great opportunity for members of the public and our staff to reflect on the work that has been undertaken over the past 12 months to improve healthcare in the area.

“It’s a chance to discuss the rollout of the biggest vaccination programme in the history of the NHS, how the local health and care system is continuing to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic and the partnership work going on to restore health services.

“We will also present our annual accounts to show people how we have been spending taxpayer’s money locally.”

The Bedfordshire, Luton, and Milton Keynes CCG AGM takes place on Tuesday 21 September, virtually, from 5:30-7:30 pm.
