Residents in Central Bedfordshire are being reminded that they can share their views on the first phase of a housing development and country park.
The site is just north of Houghton Conquest and south of the Wixams development. It will include 650 homes, a primary school, and 87-acre country park, complemented by community amenities.
This represents the latest phase in the site’s history, which received outline planning permission in 2019. Present Made, a developer of purpose-built family homes and residential communities designed for renters, has taken on the site and is seeking to deliver the proposals.
Alan Penfold, executive director at Present Made, said:
“We’ve already had some great suggestions from local residents, and we want to make sure that everyone has an opportunity to share their views.
“We’re aiming for a new style of rental development, with high quality, low carbon homes designed for families, surrounded by beautiful landscaping and outdoor spaces.”
The developers said a new country park will be delivered within the first phase of the scheme and will make up half of the development’s total area.
Adding that housing will include a mix of two, three and four-bedroom homes, which will be owned and managed by Present Made for the long-term.
As well as the website, residents are invited to attend online meetings which will be hosted on Zoom on 25 November and 30 November, both at 19:00.
