London Northwestern Railway (LNR) passengers are being invited to have their say on their train service.

190K comments submitted for East West Rail consultation

The East West Railway Company (EWR Co) has reported that its recent 10 week consultation received more than 9,800 responses, made up of over 190,000 individual comments that are now each being analysed.

Changes to Marston Vale Line rail services due to train crew availability

The train operator says the changes are necessary due COVID-19 and the ongoing impact of ‘Test and Trace’ notifications causing trains to be cancelled at short notice.

The changes affect services between Northampton and London, and on the Abbey and Marston Vale lines

London Northwestern Railway: “Wear a face covering out of respect for others”

London Northwestern Railway is asking passengers to keep wearing face coverings, unless exempt, from Monday (19 July) as COVID restrictions are eased.

The train company is also warning rail users to expect more short-notice cancellations as increasing numbers of staff are getting ‘pinged’ by the Test and Trace app.

Update from the Bedfordshire Police Community Team for Kempston Hardwick and Stewartby

Sergeant John Killick, PC Kerry Jones, PC Amanda Harvey, PCSO Chloe Dymock and PCSO James Dancer are the Bedfordshire Police local community team for Kempston Hardwick and Stewartby, amongst other areas.

The current community priority is vehicle crime and although the team is pleased to say that reports of late have been low, it wants to encourage residents to ensure that their vehicles are left locked and secure and all belongings are removed when unattended.

New boundaries are being proposed for council wards in Bedford Borough Council.

The Local Government Boundary Commission wants to hear what residents and local organisations think about the proposals. An eight week consultation on the proposals will run until 05 July 2021.

London Northwestern Railway confirms return of train services to Marston Vale Line

London Northwestern Railway has today (6 April 2021) confirmed the return of train services to the Marston Vale Line from next week as national lockdown measures ease further.

Kempston Hardwick News and information

Kempston Hardwick is a small village near Bedford, England. It has a railway station on the Marston Vale Line. An article in the Guardian in 2003 said that this was one of the least used stations in England.

Modern boundary changes made Kempston Hardwick part of the parish of Stewartby.

Kempston Hardwick is in Bedford Borough Council’s Elstow and Stewartby Ward.
