Run in memory of her mother and the special care she received from Hospice

On Sunday 1st December Lisa Raphael and Linsay Black will be running 17 miles to mark the time Linsay’s mum spent receiving care at Keech Hospice.

Part of the run will be on the Bedford Santa 5K Run (3.1 miles) along with hundreds of other runners, all dressed as Santa. The fun run was organised by Keech Hospice Care to help to raise vital funds.

After completing this race Lisa and Linsay will run a further 14 miles back to Woburn, still dressed as Father Christmas. Linsay said:

“This will make 17 miles in total and will be in recognition of the 17 days Linsay’s mum spent being looked after by the wonderful staff at Keech before she sadly passed away in September last year.”

Lisa and Linsay’s aim is to raise as much well-needed funds as possible, Linsay commented that it takes £7000 per day to keep Keech Hospice open.

The route takes them from Bedford to Woburn via*:
