Proposed design of Bedford Brickworks regeneration Image: Cloud Wing

Public will have the chance to share their views on the emerging plans

Cloud Wing is bringing forward plans for the regeneration of the former brickworks factories in Stewartby and Kempston Hardwick, to the south of Bedford.

The Bedford Brickworks proposals will go on display at a public exhibition on:

Friday 11 January 2019, 12 noon – 9pm

Stewartby Village Hall, Stewartby Way, Stewartby, Bedford, MK45 9LX

Light refreshments will be available.

At the exhibition our project team will be available to discuss the proposals and the public will have the chance to share their views on the emerging plans.

The Bedford Brickworks project will revitalise the brownfield, former industrial sites, bringing back jobs and homes to create new, sustainable communities firmly rooted in the area’s history.

As part of the proposals, a new replica chimney with ‘Stewartby’ written down it will be reproduced on site to honour the heritage of the site and workers of the London Brick Company.

Shen Kan from Cloud Wing said:

“Our vision is to create thriving new residential and business communities which contribute to the enhancement of Bedford. These sites have the potential to create thousands of well-paid jobs, reducing the need for local people to commute out of the town for work. I am looking forward to speaking with the public about our proposals and building the homes Bedford needs for the future generations to come”.
