I think it is worth emphasising the sheer scale of the Cranfield Road Solar Farm development proposal (which will rank it in the top 10 largest solar farms in the East and South East of the UK*).
The 75-hectare site is 25 times the footprint of the MK Stadium and more than 100 football pitches in size. The part of the site that is in Bedford Borough (approx. 42 hectares) will industrialise more than 3% of the land area of Stagsden Parish.

Renewable Connections is proposing a 75-hectare renewable energy scheme on land between West End Stagsden and Astwood across the Bedfordshire – Milton Keynes boundary.
It said the Cranfield Road Solar Farm will have a generating capacity of up to 45 megawatts. The proposed site lies within Bedford Borough, Central Bedfordshire and Milton Keynes.

Members of the West End Solar Farm Action Group say they will fight the proposal to build a 75 hectare (185 acre) solar farm on agricultural land at next to the small hamlet of West End Stagsden, Bedfordshire.
Renewable Connections is proposing a renewable energy scheme on land between West End Stagsden and Astwood.
