Cranfield School of Management in Financial Times UK business schools top ten

Cranfield School of Management has been named one of the UK’s top ten business schools in the ‘Financial Times European Business Schools 2020’ rankings released on Monday (7 December 2020).
The rankings also reveal that Cranfield is the highest ranked business school in the UK to offer an Executive MBA via the apprenticeship levy.

Cranfield School of Management’s Changing World of Work group has unveiled a new webinar series. These will focus on the areas of human resource management, employment relations, leadership, organisational behaviour and gender, diversity and inclusion.
First in the series, joining Professor Emma Parry – head of the Changing World of Work Group, is Perry Timms who will be discussing the next steps for organisation design.

Voluntary targets have boosted gender diversity on UK boards. However, new research by Cranfield University’s School of Management warns that there are still too few women in senior leadership positions, such as CEO and Chair, to drive long-term change.
The annual Female FTSE Board Report, sponsored this year by EY, finds that although the FTSE 350 looks on track to reach the target of 33% of women on boards by December 2020, a lack of representation at the top could be impacting the number of women in the executive pipeline.

Cranfield School of Management’s Business Growth Response Programme has now supported its 2,000th participant since it began just after lockdown started at the end of March.
The programme supports small- and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) in helping them recover from the devastating effects of COVID-19 on the UK economy. SME’s account for 24% of UK private sector businesses, for 43% of UK employment and 45% of GDP.

The former leader of the Liberal Democrats will work with the business school’s Changing World of Work group. This Group examines the implications of the changing work context on managing people and organisations.

A new study by Cranfield School of Management, using Dun & Bradstreet data, investigates the risks and measures UK and EU businesses have taken regarding their supply bases since the Brexit referendum in 2016. The findings have been drawn from analysis of 1.3 million anonymous transactions.
