A specialist policing team dedicated to stripping the money and assets of criminals in the East has already recovered over £1 million since the start of the year.
The Eastern Region Special Operations Unit’s (ERSOU) Asset Confiscation Enforcement (ACE) team works to ensure that criminals who acquire money through illegal means are forced to pay it back.

Investigations by the Eastern Region Special Operations Unit (ERSOU), the specialist policing unit responsible for tackling regional organised crime across the East, have resulted in offenders being jailed for more than 100 years in 2020.
ERSOU’s Regional Organised Crime Unit (ROCU) is tasked with managing the threat posed by crime types such as drugs, firearms, child sexual exploitation and cybercrime, among others.

A 60 second film which shows the possible signs of terrorist activity will air in cinemas across the region from today (Friday 6 March).
‘Look Again’ is a short film produced by Counter Terrorism Policing. It shows what sort of behaviour could indicate that someone is planning a terrorist attack and explains what the public can do to help police.
It then explains how members of the public can ACT to report their concerns online at gov.uk/ACT.
