Rail passengers are being advised to consider very carefully if they need to travel this weekend. Storm Alex is due to arrive from France in the small hours of Saturday morning bringing risks of high winds and flooding.
Network Rail has imposed a 50 mph speed limit on train services which means fewer trains can run and journeys will take longer. Rising water levels also mean that some services may have to be suspended if tracks flood and signalling systems are affected.Read More
