Soap star Shane Richie will be leading the cast in this year’s family pantomime Robin Hood
Shane Richie will be starring as Robin Hood alongside comedian Peter Piper (Friar Tuck) and West End star Gina Murray (Spirit of Sherwood) as panto comes to Milton Keynes.
Theatre Director at Milton Keynes Theatre, Emma Sullivan, said:
“We can’t wait for this year’s pantomime spectacular Robin Hood to comes to Milton Keynes Theatre this Christmas. We have a fantastic cast which will entertain audiences of all ages and get everyone ready for the Christmas period.”
Having established himself as one of the nation’s favourite soap stars, Shane has won many awards and millions of fans for his portrayal of Albert Square’s loveable landlord Alfie Moon in EastEnders.
Away from the soap, he has appeared in Making Dad’s Army, Benidorm and Redwater.
His stage roles include touring productions of Peter James’ A Perfect Murder and Not Dead Enough. He has also regularly starring in panto for Robin Hood producers Qdos Entertainment.
Robin Hood and his Merry Men take on the evil Sheriff
Peter Piper has appeared in television series in the UK and the USA. He has worked as a voice-over artist on Black Beauty, Patriot Games and Pocahontas. Piper was also appeared as Tom Ridley in the ITV soap Coronation Street.
Gina Murray has appeared in Mamma Mia!, Chicago, Fame and The Full Monty as well as appearing in Doctors, EastEnders and Judge John Deed.
The Acromaniacs is a fast, slapstick acrobatic act. Its use of trampette, box and crashmat has to be seen to be believed … split second timing was never more important!
Audiences will join the most heroic outlaw of them all as the arrow-shooting hero Robin Hood strives to win the hand of the beautiful Maid Marion. At the same time with his band of Merry Men he will outwit the evil Sheriff of Nottingham in a show full of action, adventure, music, laughter and audience participation.
