The Women Like Me Luton & Bedfordshire Conference

From Feeling Fear to Feeling Free

The third The Women Like Me conference is being held online on Saturday 20 June 2020. Run by The Like Me CIC, the theme this year is From Feeling Fear to Feeling Free.

Jasmine Mbye, the founder of The Like Me CIC, said that fear affects each of us in different ways. The aim of the conference to is help attendees to break free from any fears that may be holding them captive. She said:

“My desire is for The Women Like Me Conference to be life changing in the way it changed mine. It propelled me to start this business and I want it to propel every woman to take a critical step forward in their life.”

The Like Me CIC aims to empower Luton and Bedfordshire women and girls who have low self-worth and may have endured abuse/violence, exploitation, and Common Mental Health Disorders (CMD) so they can recover, reconnect and rise up to overcome and avoid these defining who they are.

This is partly by providing a platform and partnering with other specialist support agencies. Support is on hand to empower and encourage these women to develop the confidence and courage to live a life they really want.

Last year’s conference bought together over 70 women from all walks life, faiths, ethnicities and ages.
