Cranfield Coop reopens Cranfield Coop finally reopened this morning (26 August). There was no fanfare, a celebrity with oversized scissors or a crowd of local well-wishers. Not even the newspaper delivery turned up to mark the event.   The store closure was due to damage caused by a ram-raid. The ram-raiders made off with the store’s cash machine (ATM). Allotments are coming to Cranfield A new housing development in Cranfield will include allotments for the locals. Homebuilder Bloor Homes will create 18 plots within its Cranfield Park development. Cranfield Coop to reopen soon Cranfield residents will finally get their Coop back after it was damaged in a ram-raid earlier this month. The raid, on 4 August, caused extensive damage to the front of the store. Due to the damage further work will still be needed after the store reopens on 25 August. This is according to Marston Vale Community Rail Partnership (CRP) Officer, Stephen Sleight.
