Heritage Open Days are back in Bedford Borough
Celebrate history and architecture across Bedford Borough this September with Heritage Open Days. This year the event runs from Thursday 6th to Sunday 9th and Thursday 13th to Sunday 16th September.
Volunteers will be showcasing hidden stories and architectural treasures across the Borough, all completely free. Such as Bedfordshire’s only complete windmill and a free town centre guided walk of ‘Bedford’s Historical Plaques: Blue, Bronze and Others’. This tour is a chance to find out some of the fascinating history behind the ordinary doors and windows in Bedford.
