Bedfordshire and Luton Clinical Commissioning Groups highlight carers’ important work

Bedfordshire and Luton Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCG) are highlighting the important work done by carers and the help available to them.
40,000 carers across Bedfordshire provide unpaid support to family and friends, who could not manage without their help.
They make a huge contribution to improving the lives of older, disabled and chronically ill people, many of whom would otherwise need residential care.
Caring for a family member or close friend can be very rewarding. But this responsibility can, over a period of time, also become physically and emotionally challenging.
So all carers should take steps to maintain their own health and well-being and be aware of the support on offer.
