Cranfield Auction of Promises
The chance to be a headmaster for a day, a car service and a hog or lamb roast for 50 people are among the many lots going under the hammer tomorrow at a special auction of promises.

Tomorrow (Saturday 27 February 2021), Cranfield’s St Peter’s and St Paul’s Church, and Cranfield C of E Academy are holding an online fundraiser.

Cranfield’s Community Auction of Promises will be held on Zoom and has around 40 lots on offer. These have been donated by local companies and residents. Keeping everything in check will be the auctioneer, BBC Bargain Hunt’s Charlie Ross.

It is a fantastic opportunity for the community to come together (virtually) during this current lockdown. Reverend Isaac Pain, rector at St Peter’s and St Paul’s, said:

“Some absolutely amazing community spirit and generosity has been displayed over the past year.

“We’ve been blown away by the generosity of the community so far in the lots that have been promised for the auction, and trust that this generosity will be replicated on the night, and much fun will be had by all!”

Auction lots on offer also include:

  • Tractor ride and picnic
  • Church bells rung to mark your special occasion
  • Luxury bell tent package for three nights
  • Your tax returns completed for two years
  • Delivered baked goods

Some of the funds raised will support the continued ministry of the church within the community. The church is also planning to start-up some community children and family activities as the area emerges from lockdown.

Cranfield’s Community Auction of Promises starts at 7pm. You can book your ticket and find out more here.
