Shoppers in Bedfordshire are being urged to buy from, and celebrate, their local and independent businesses in a pre-Christmas campaign led by Federation of Small Businesses (FSB).

The business representation group said the unprecedented pressure on small businesses in the county throughout 2020 means that they desperately need a boost from their local communities in the run-up to Christmas.

The Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) has said that its quarterly index underlines the considerable challenges that small firms in the East of England are continuing to face as a consequence of the pandemic.

Adding that local businesses remain determined to make it through to the other side, but in many cases that might mean taking difficult decisions over the next few months.
