All four front desks will be returning
Bedfordshire Police’s enquiry offices are returning to their normal opening hours following the coronavirus lockdown. From Monday (24 August 2020) all four offices will be returning to full capacity for the public.
The two main enquiry offices at Bedfordshire Police Headquarters in Kempston and Luton Police Station will be open from 9am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday, and 9am to 5pm at weekends.
Enquiry offices at Dunstable and Lime Street in Bedford will be open from 9am to 5pm through the week and be closed at weekends. Face coverings can be provided by staff to visitors to the force’s enquiry offices if necessary. Superintendent Mark Upex said:
“It is encouraging news that our front desks are now back to their full opening hours, however it is important to stress that it is not ‘business as usual’ just yet.
“We are still experiencing a high demand for our services and would therefore encourage people to only visit our enquiry offices if you cannot access our services online.
“People coming to our offices will still have to wear face masks and follow a one way system, as it is important we continue to respect social distancing.”
